The songs, for the most part, are really good and some of the best in the show

The Power Ponies superhero episode was really well done, with Spike even saving the day

Discord has been more prominant this season

Scootaloo has been established to be living in a home

The surprise twists involving the Elements of Harmony no longer being in the show

Weird Al's pony character, Cheese Sandwhich, is an excellent new addition to the show

The backflash stories involving Luna's transformation into Nightmare Moon and Discord's first defeat

We get to see more of Equestria like Manehatten and Rainbow Falls
